Families are welcome to join in this ritual and our mortuary team will work with you as much as possible.

H.Parsons has one of the few all-female mortuary teams in Australia, and our certified embalmers pictured above have been featured in the media and received industry recognition for their expertise. Importantly they understand your concern for your loved one and show a mix of empathy and professionalism in everything they do.

Services We Provide
Many families find participating in the dressing and washing of their loved one a very healing process. Families are welcome to join in this very healing ritual and our mortuary team will work with you as much as possible.
These are some of the services we provide:
Embalming - full and partial
Washing and cleaning
Preparing the body
Dressing
Arranging of the deceased
If you would like to participate in any of these services, please discuss this with your Funeral Director.
We’ll accommodate your wishes where possible, but will always defer to the professional opinions of our team. For a variety of reasons, it may not be practical or recommended for you to view or participate.
This may happen when the deceased has been in our care for an extended period of time, they were involved in a traumatic incident, had certain illnesses, or were deceased for an extended period before entering our care.
